A solo show, Overlapping Memories, in Gallery 2 of Chefas Projects.
“Bak’s paintings reference the artist’s own loose memories and scenes of mundane life to depict her relation to the world around her. The resulting paintings have a feeling of translucency and movement in their overlapping figurative and botanical forms; the limbs askew in angular directions, crossing over one another. The intent of these dynamic scenes are to demonstrate one’s interactions amongst others, human or otherwise.”
The opening reception for Overlapping Memories will take place at Chefas Projects on Friday, May 10th, 2024, from 5-8 pm. Located in Portland, Oregon, at 134 SE Taylor Street on the first floor of the Taylor Works building, Chefas Projects invites the public to explore this unique exhibition, which will be on view through June 8, 2024.
